Our Story
At Views, we're on a mission to make outdoor living more accessible to city-dwellers. We believe in getting back to basics, outdoor air, nature, and unplugging to connect with yourself and others.
It started when our founders, Jesse & Ashley moved to Toronto, Canada, and were in pursuit of patio furniture that would fit their tiny condo balcony. Determined for their small space to not cramp their style, they decided to create their own patio furniture, starting with their infamous hero product the 'balcony bar'. Fast forward a few years later, Views Balcony™ is raising the bar on outdoor furniture for the urban market.
Jesse & Ashley meet at the Canadian bar "Loose Moose" while traveling separately in Nicaragua. Sparks flew during an intimate conversation at the bar. Love was in the salty air and 6 months later they both moved from their homes in Vancouver to Toronto.
While living in a typical small condo in Toronto, Jesse and Ashley were determined to not let it cramp their style. They were underwhelmed in their pursuit of compact outdoor furniture that complimented their lifestyle, so they created their first 'balcony bar'.
First 'pop-up' at Humber Bay in Toronto with absolutely zero inventory. Having received the 'sample' of their very first balcony bar the night before, they decided to go ahead anyway with the pop-up. It ended up being the best way to validate their product-market fit, in real life!
Fast forward a few years later, after overcoming a pandemic supply chain nghtmare, and over 6000 customers later, Views Balcony™ made it back to a bigger tradeshow, with inventory this time.
